Group Limits
- Skulk
- Up to 6 Adults/Sub-Adult Cryolophosaurus of any relation.
- This group type may have unlimited adolescent present offspring, related to at least 1 individual.
- Leash
- 2 Adult/Sub-Adult Cryolophosaurus of courted relation.
- Unlimited Offspring.
- Same-sex pairs may adopt orphaned cryolophosaurus and dilophosaurus, they will treat both species as normal kits and defend them the same way.
- This group is sedentary until all offspring/adoptees reach adolescent.
Nest Limits
- Blooming Season: 2 eggs, 4-hour interval
- Cryolophosaurus have lowered fertility due to the heat.
- Scorching Season: 1 eggs, 5-hour interval
- Cryolophosaurus are highly infertile due to the heat taking most of their energy.
- Wilting Season: 4 eggs, 4-hour interval
- Cryolophosaurus gains more fertility in this season.
- Frosting Season 5 eggs, 4-hour interval
- This season cryolophosaurus are at their most fertile.
- During all seasons cryolophosaurus can only nest when in a Leash.
Sexual Dimorphism
- Sexual Dimorphism is Mandatory.
- Males are called Tods.
- Tods have brightly coloured crests that are contrasting to the rest of their body.
- They greet other cryolophosaurus by lifting their heads.
- Females are called Vixens.
- Vixens have crest colours that blend with the rest of their body.
- Vixens greet other cryolophosaurus with bowed heads.
- Mutations
- Melanistic individuals are tolerated, Albino individuals areshunned.
- Melanistic male Cryolophosaurus may struggle to court females, however, same-sex courting will not be affected.
Habitat
- Nomadic
- Cryolophosaurus spend most of their time moving, searching for a good place to hunt or rest.
- When nesting, a courted pair will split off from the main group and become sedentary until offspring reach adolescence. They will return to their original grouping after the offspring reach adolescence.
- Prefers: Dense Woodland, Sparse Woodland, Marshlands and Mountainous
- Neutral: Hills and Valleys
- Dislikes: Deserts, Mesas and Beaches
Activity
- Nocturnal
- Cryolothosaurus will spend most of the night hunting, traveling, nesting or courting.
- During the day they rest in the shade, sleeping or tiredly socialising with one another.
Diet
- General Carnivore: Neutral
- Cryolophosaurus prefers fresh meat, however they will eat whatever they can get. Cryolophosaurus may defend their bodies if it seems practical; however, just as often, they will choose to leave them when challenged.

Growing Behaviours
Hatchling
When kits first awaken in their nests, their vision is blurry and their legs are weak. They stay in the nest. When hungry, kits will let out small mewling cries for food.During this stage parents are extremely attentive - one always staying with the kits while the other goes to get food.
Juvenile
When kits reach juvenile, they gain their strength. They will start moving around the nesting site clumsily. After they have found their footing, they will start playing with their siblings, usually in games of chase or small playfights.During this stage parents are still watchful of their young kits, however since the kits have gained strength they feel more comfortable leaving them for longer periods of time. This means both parents may leave to go on a hunt, usually hiding the young kits in bushes and expecting them to stay quiet until they return.
Adolescent
Adolescent kits have picked up on their parents' quiet demeanor and now mimic it. Stalking each other quietly in mock hunts, the kits at this point will also have gained their full strength and be ready for traveling.By then the kits are ready to meet their parents' skulk. The parents will attempt to track the skulk down. If they succeed, the whole family will rejoin the skulk. If they however cannot find their original skulk they will simply form one of their own, consisting of them and their young.
Sub/Adult
At this stage kits will be treated as adults by members of the skulk. If there is space, kits will choose to stay in their parents skulk until they find a mate themselves. Younger individuals may still exhibit play behavior, though it slowly stops over time.If there isn't enough space in the skulk for the now adult kits, the siblings will often choose to disperse together, forming a skulk of their own.
Orphan Behaviours
- Orphaned kits struggle at first, mewing for parents that will never come.
- They will stumble around until their vision clears or they stumble upon a same-sex pair of cryolophosaurus or dilophosaurus.
- If adopted by a cryolophosaurus pair, the kits will grow up in relative normality, only having vague memories of their orphanhood.
- If adopted by a dilophosaurus pair, the orphan may pick up on traits abnormal for their species.
- Cryolophosaurus kits adopted by dilophosaurus may grow up to be terrible hunters, as dilophosaurus and cryolophosaurus have opposing hunting styles. This will only be corrected once they have hunted with others of their kind.
- They may also develop an extreme need to nest in caves, which can only be corrected if their mate notices it.
- When adopted by dilophosaurus, kits at adolescent age will realize their parents are not the same species as them. Once this is realized, the kit will sneak away from the dilophosaurus while they are sleeping, this is done to avoid potential conflict as the kit realizes the dilophosaurus could cause a threat should they be discovered.
- Orphans who never get adopted will have a hard time learning how to hunt without parents to observe, however instincts drive them forwards and they eventually learn.
Social Behaviours
- Cryolophosaurus are social creatures, forming close bonds with friends and mates. They bond by sharing time with one another, hunting and traveling together, sleeping in the same spot or bringing each other food.
- Mates are more affectionate, rubbing against one another or cleaning each other after hunts.
- When close friends are split up, their reunion is always joyful, circling each other and chirping. When introducing their adolescent offspring to their skulk, parents will approach their closest friends first, other skulk members second.
- When cryolophosaurus first join a skulk, it takes a while for the group to warm up to them, though eventually all members of the skulk will come to accept them.
Interspecies Behaviours
- Cryolophosaurus are highly intolerant of other species.
- They avoid contact and conflict with other species when possible.
- The only time cryolophosaurus tolerate other species is when a same-sex pair adopts a dilophosaurus, thinking it's a misshapen cryolophosaurus kit.
- They will treat this adoptee as they would a normal cryolophosaurus kit.
- Cryolophosaurus adopted by dilophosaurus may grow up to be more tolerant of dilophosaurus, allowing them to be closer than they normally would be with other species.
Territorial Behaviours
- Cryolophosaurus are not territorial and would rather flee than fight for territory.
- Cryolophosaurus will only actively agree to the contest if they have offspring below subadult and, the challenger is medium or smaller. If it is a larger group, they will still simply forfeit for the sake of offspring.
Hunting/Hunted Behaviours
- Cryolophosaurus will always attempt to ambush their prey, stalking from within foliage and trees.
- If they suspect their prey has heard them, they will pause and only continue their stalking once they are sure they have not alerted their prey. This often means hunts take quite some time.
- During hunting, Cryolophosaurus go deathly quiet, to not alert their target.
- They attempt to get a circle around their prey, giving their target no chance of escape should they begin to flee, or when the time comes to strike.
- When within a good distances, one by one, they will run in, strike, and hide back in foliage, attempting to disorient and confuse their target.
- A hunt will only fail if they were spotted before they were able to strike, and or, the prey flees into an area without any spots to hide in.
- They will only continue in more open areas should they be desperately hungry.
- When cryolophosaurus are hunted, cryolophosaurus are quick to flee.
- If the opportunity arises they will turn the hunt on the other hunters, fighting back against the attack. Cryolophosaurus are keen, and can tell when they have or lack the advantage.
- In the case of mated pairs, they will defend each other no matter the cost, often choosing to defend their partner instead of fleeing, should they be the target of an attack.
- Cryolophosaurus will always make attempts to flee, unless it's entirely impossible, or they feel they can fight back.
Engagement Limits
- Up to 5 sub-adult/adult cryolophosaurus may participate in an engagement.
- 1-2 cryolophosaurus may hunt up to 5 large class dinosaurs.
- 3-5 cryolophosaurus may hunt one sub-apex and above.
Courtship
- Cryolophosaurus of both genders may initiate courting.
- Courting is initiated when an individual brings another a gift, usually the one that matches the initiating individuals crest colour.
- If the courted individual is interested, they will rub their snout against the initiators side.
- Unintrested individuals will ignore the suitor, or simply walk away to show their unwillingness to court.
- If the individual is interested, courting may continue and both individuals performing a ‘dance’.
- A dance is a combination of movements cryolophosaurus use to show off their best traits to a potential partner, the most common things to show off are their teeth, which is done by biting the air, their crest which can be done by lifting or lowering the head, or their scars which can be done by turning the scarred part of their body towards their potential partner.
- Certain individuals prefer specific traits - some may prefer larger crests or more scars, while others prioritize colouring.
- If an individual accepts, they will approach the other and rub their snout against the others face.
- If the other individual also accepts, they will return the gesture, signifying their life long bond.
- If not, they will turn around and leave. Continued pursuits may end in aggression.
