1. Join the Discord, read the general rules and verify yourself.

Read the Discord server rules in Discord Rules.
Read the Game server rules either on this website under Rules or in Discord.
Verify yourself in the verification channel on Discord. When you complete the verification process successful, a moderator will whitelist you for the game server.

2. Pick what dinosaur you want to play.

You can pick a dinosaur of your choice to start with and read its Profile.
- Searching for something specific? Use the tag filter function of the Carnivore and Herbivore profiles on Discord.
If you're rather unexperienced with Realism Gameplay, it is recommended to start out with a profile tagged as "Simple" and take a look at our Realism Basics Guide.
For an overview of the preferred habitats of your chosen dinosaur, refer to our interactive map.

3. Find some group to play with.

It is highly recommended to find some friends to play with on ARR!
- Find other players in Group-Adverts and Nest-Adverts. You can either reply to an existing advert or create your own.
- When replying to an advert, respect their wishes (like using body language only, VC requirements, etc.).
